On August 1, 2013 we were proud to announce The Como Brothers Band our Act of the Month. These guys really have their heads on straight and know what they want to do and where they are trying to go. We believe they will have no problems climbing the ladder of success. We can visualize them on the stage at any major venue and they totally belong there! Interview with Simplified - @Simplified_Band

In this edition of Road Trip, we interview the multi-award winning and very tour experienced, Simplified. With independently produced and other projects ranging  the years 2004-2012 and touring and gigging in venues from clubs and festivals like SunFest to NASCAR Rev’d Up in 2009. In fact, in just eight years since the band's inception, Simplified has not only performed more than 2,500 shows, but they have also earned the respect of such renown artists as O.A.R., whose saxophone player Jerry Depizzo produced their latest album. But don't be fooled. Simplified's journey hasn't always been an easy one. The band has done everything – from the writing, recording and even the distribution of their four albums - completely on their own.

Interview with Broken Ride

In this episode of Road Trip, we are going to be interviewing a band that was introduced to us by Leanne Harrison of  SIN Agency and we believe this would be the third great band she introduced to us. After a few days we noticed many of our followers where buzzing about "Broken Ride" and one of our busiest followers, @PHXisHOT suggested we do an interview and we agreed. So let's get on to the interview with "Broken Ride":

Zoe Ann - Teen Rocker

We had the opportunity to hang out online with Zoe and Hunter on Butterflies Radio Show - "Twitter Tuesday Live". These 15 year old teen rockers blew us away with lyrics and music far beyond their ages. During the show we found out that Zoe is actually home schooled and that she learns from some CD learning program on her own! It must be working well because, like we said, she is wise far beyond her years. When we asked Zoe where she would like to play most, she paused a few seconds and said; "Not any particular place but every place would be good! We want to perform in front of a sea of people and experience that feeling."


We asked Zoe about her home schooling and to tell us a little about her backing band and also if she had any musical training.

Zoe Ann:

As far as training, I started Musical Theater at age 7 and piano a while before that. I began guitar just a couple years ago. All these years I have had the same vocal coach, I only see her on occasion or if I am having a problem, but she is the lady I began Musical Theater with. (Jill Lord)

I use a variety of Homeschool education materials. They include books and CD's but from multiple sources. I am fortunate to live in a state that allows me some freedom that way. We try to just pick and choose what will work best for my needs at the time.
